Patient Exam - Dental Checkup

We recommend our patients to visit our dental clinic twice a year for complete dental checkups. Some patients may be capable of maintaining their oral health with fewer visits. However, others may need extra care to help maintain healthy gums and teeth. Some patients with a significant risk of forming dental disease may need regular dental care every 3 to 4 months.

Patients at higher risk who would require multiple visits a year include:

• Diabetics
• Patients with gum disease
• Patients with low immunity or bacterial infection
• Smokers
• Patients who are prone to tooth decay and plaque buildup

Dental hygiene requirements change throughout ones life. Patients who are under stress or ill my need more dental care than patients with healthy gums and teeth showing no signs of decay. Depending on your dental health examination, Dr. Chahal may decrease or increase the time between your dental checkups.
